What day of the week is it today? What day will it be tomorrow? Sing our days of the week song. Do jazz hands for today. What is the weather today? Yesterday, It was the 22nd day of the month. I wonder if you know what the date it is today. How do you know?
Maths – Youtube video – count and move song– count to 20 and march. Use a number line to help if you need to. 10 children are on the naughty bus. Roll a die. Take that number away from 10. How many are left? Show me how you are counting out the items and taking the items away. What do they use to answer the questions? Number line? Fingers? Items? Can you play your own game where things are being taken away? It could be with cars or sweets….anything you like playing with. What letters are in ‘oo’? Read some CVCC with oo sound. Spoon, droop, stood, snoop, shoot, smooth, tooth. Can you highlight the oo sound? Bingo game. Print out the pictures and one sheet with the word on. The children have to look at the picture, read their words and see if there is a match. They cross off the word they get. Full house before shouting bingo.
English/ Communication and Language –
Ask a grown up for some baked beans and use a bus (or other vehicle you have available) to act out the story from yesterday. Have fun and get messy
