This week, we are going to looking at subtraction. We will continue to learn phase 4 in Phonics. We will also be comparing the fire service in 1666 in the time of The Great Fire of London, and the fire service now.

This week, we are launching our Big Idea; ‘Back to the future’. We had an exciting visit from the Fire Brigade on Friday to spark our interest in The Great Fire of London. This week, in mathematics, we will be looking at length and height. We will be continuing consolidating our phonics in phase 4.

OPEN ME – Blog wc 14th June 2021

Welcome back to the last half term of this academic year! How quickly this year has flown!

This week, we are having RE week. We are thinking about how people are special and what makes them special. This will have some links to special people in religions. In Maths, we are going to be looking at weight and ordering items by weight. In Phonics, we are going to continue consolidating the sounds we know in phase 4. Ask the children what my Aunty Caroline says when she remembers something. The children should recall the vowels (a, e, i, o, u some money!).
