Please find a list of useful videos and helpful websites to support your child with learning at home. 

 

Phonic Resources

  • Please look through these documents to support phonics learning at home. These will inform you how to correctly say each sound (phoneme), and how we form the letters (graphemes) when writing.

  • Letters and Sounds have set up a channel on YouTube for free. You can watch them teach phonic sounds. It is a really good resource, and very valuable when revising sounds. Please follow the instructions below to access – Google – Letters and sounds for home and school – Click on the link and it will take you to YouTube – click on videos on the task bar – select one titled for Reception. There is also a good video to remind you how to say the pure sound for each letter. I hope you find this a useful tool.

  • Big Cat books will be assigned on a Monday.

  •  ICT games online – skywriter is a good writing tool to help with letter formation. Make sure to click on the cursive box before the plane writes the letter. This means that the plane will write the whoosh at the start of the letter.
