Summer 2 in Reception

Witton Church Walk CE Aided Primary School: Miss Jeffery - David Walliams

We are heading into the last half term of Reception! How time flies when you are having fun.

This half term, we will be focusing on Transitioning into Year 1. Whilst this is a very exciting time, it may also be an anxious time. We will talk about our emotions and work through these.

Alongside Transitions, we ill also be working on our Big Idea; ‘I am a Historian’. We will spark our enthusiasm for learning about the past with a visit to Knaresborough castle. We will look at the features of the castle and read non-fiction and fiction castle texts.

We will be developing our mathematic skills and developing our reasoning.

In Literacy, we will be applying our Phonetical knowledge and skills to write simple sentences. I am hoping for a few mini stories this half term.
